SRIP ACS+ STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT INNOVATION PARTNERSHIP IN THE FIELD OF MOBILITY
SRIP ACS+ Strategic Development Innovation Partnership in the field of mobility brings together members of two associations, the Economic Interest Association ACS Slovenian Automobile Cluster and the Transport Association of the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia.
The automotive industry in Slovenia contributes roughly 10% to the gross social product and more than 20% to Slovenian exports, and all members of SRIP ACS+, including all areas of mobility, contribute more than 17% to the gross social product. The industry generates 7.5 billion euros in annual revenue. In the Slovenian automotive industry, there are more than 100 tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers and more than 600 sub-suppliers of lower levels of the supply chain. Every year, more than 25% of all awarded innovations of the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia come from the automotive industry.
ACS - INDUSTRIAL ENVIRONMENT AND STANDARDS
ACS is an association of economic interests of Slovenian suppliers to the automotive industry and manufacturers of motor vehicles. They joined the cluster to strengthen their competitive ability and increase added value. GIZ ACS is the central communication point of the automotive cluster, supported by infrastructure. ACS supports its members in integrating into the global motor vehicle industry with joint promotion and with products of higher technological sophistication. To this end, it promotes the efficiency of the members' operations through appropriate research and connections with professional development and scientific institutions at home and abroad. ACS connects in its network manufacturers of automotive components in the developed Slovenian metal, electrical and electronic, mechanical, metallurgical, rubber, chemical and textile industries. As well as in the industry of means of transport and providers of research, development, production and other services that develop and produce products and perform services for the automotive industry. The Slovenian automotive and automotive supplier industry is traditionally export-intensive and operates today according to automotive standards recognized in the EU and on the global market, such as QS 9000, VDA, EAQF and IATF 16949.
